Can it really be 2020?!?!? How is that even possible? So without further ado, a little top 10 countdown…
Best of Maison de Pax 2019:
I’ve always said that the more kids I have, the less stuff I want. 😉 So I’m seeing a significant movement in my design towards more simplicity and minimalism. And apparently I’m not alone because the 10th most popular post this year was minimalist ideas for fall decorating.
Honestly, this one surprised me. I guess I’m not the only one who loves watercolor art and classic hymn lyrics… and, of course, you can never go wrong with free printables. 😉

This is my new happy place. We haven’t landscaped the front of Little Pax Ranch yet, so I’m afraid the pictures of the front porch don’t really do it justice, but I’m pleased to see that my readers obviously see its potential past the progress shots. I’m telling you, a cup of coffee in these rocking chairs, some visiting deer, a breeze… it’s such a perfectly peaceful place. And decorating it with simple ideas and foraged items for fall was easy and fun.
It warmed my heart so so much to see this post make the top 10, since photography is truly one of my favorite things. Whether you’re a blogger, like me, an interior designer, or just a home enthusiast, I think these tips can help you capture your spaces beautifully!
15 years of marriage. 4 kids. 7,894 baseball games (ok, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, I admit 😉 ). And – no joke – 4 full kitchen renovations. I may not be an official expert, but I’m getting the hang of this kitchen planning thing… and shared with you my top tips for how to design a kitchen. And apparently, you found them helpful!
I kind of can’t believe this made the top 10 this year, since I just posted it six weeks ago… but I guess you all are as charmed by the Christmas kitchen at Little Pax Ranch as I am because at #5 was 10 kitchen Christmas decorating ideas!
Speaking of Little Pax Ranch, in at #4 is our modern farmhouse living room. It’s not big, but it’s packed full of style.
Another huge surprise: our Christmas living room came in at #3! There’s something so magical about the holidays.
And, just when I thought surely this was the year of Little Pax Ranch, I was blown away to see that our 90’s Home Update came in at #1! See the post that tens of thousands of people are enjoying: the full before and after tour of our home (plus great tips for updating your own!).
