Christmas Lights at Night Holiday Home Tour
Enjoy holiday home tours? Christmas lights at night create a magical holiday home. See more than 25 gorgeous homes lit up for the holidays!
This is my favorite home tour all. year. long. Twinkles, candles, peace and quiet… Christmas lights at night is like a balm to my harried, busy, to-do-list-harrassed soul.
I hope it can be for you, too.
I’m so honored and pleased to be joined by more than 25 other bloggers this year for the annual Christmas Nights Tour. If you’re visiting for the first time from The Turquoise Home or any of the other participating blogs, I’m so so glad you’re here. I’m a mom of four, a recovering perfectionist, a self-proclaimed nerd, and a lover of pursuing peace at home – whatever chaos that may look like. 😉
So without further ado… come on in.
Come into our home, with its first tree…
Second tree…
And third tree. #youcanneverhavetoomanychristmastrees 😉
Come into our home with our snuggly spaces…
Our wide-eyed excitement…
And our [more than] slightly crumpled gifts.
Come into our home with our annual display of family and friends’ cards on our china cabinet…
Our table that’s big enough to make homemade Christmas cards [and plenty of messes 😉 ]…
Come warm yourself by the fire…
Either side. With a two-sided fireplace, there’s plenty of room.
Come, and celebrate the joy of Christmas with us.
I can’t resist ending with these words (which my three-year-old may or may not have been singing slightly wrong about 37 times per day… but it’s the thought that counts, right?):
O come, let us adore Him.
O come, let us adore Him.
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ, the Lord.
Thank you for coming into our home this Christmas. I pray yours is filled with love, joy, and peace this holiday season.
If you have any questions on sources or projects in our home, visit our daytime Christmas tour.
And be sure to visit my friend Courtney at French Country Cottage for your next stop on the tour. You won’t find a more amazing night-light home than hers!

Thank you Norma!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Beautiful!!!!!
Thank you, Cathy!
Hello, I am Daniela, you have an amazing house and it is even more amazing with all the christmas decorations! May I ask you what camera settings did you use to take these photos? I’d like to try and take photos (almost) like yours. Again, you did a really good job!
Thank you so much! For nighttime Christmas lights, it’s all taken with a tripod with REALLY long shutter speeds. I set low aperture for the blurry light shots and high aperture for the twinkly shots. I keep ISO as low as I can (which ranges from 400-super high). I actually have a full segment on taking these kind of shots in my photography course. I hope this helps and happy holidays!!
Can I ask you what garland you use on the staircase, it’s just beautiful!
I don’t have a link to it, just a simple faux greenery garland! 🙂
I enjoyed all your beautiful pictures, especially the ones with the children. Thank you for your inspiring ideas.
Linda Logan
Thank you, Linda! They keep me busy! 🙂
I keep finding myself coming back to this beautiful page! Where did you get your rug in your livingroom? It’s beautiful and warm looking. Is is more browns and beiges? Love it!
Hi Mary! It’s a rug that has been in the family a long time, but here is a similar one (affiliate): https://rstyle.me/+O_z49jxm8kkKOpm82yL0DQ
