Watercolor: Free Autumn Printable

For simple, easy fall decor, try this FREE autumn printable!

Have I ever mentioned that I used to teach high school English?

Along with the obvious pleasure of holding the future of terrified adolescents in the palm of my red-pen brandishing hand (… I kid!), a love of well-phrased metaphors was forever implanted in my soul.

So when sweet Kristen of Ella Claire Inspired asked if I would like to create a FREE fall printable to share, I couldn’t resist William Cullen Bryant’s lovely sentiment:

Autumn, the year’s last, loveliest smile…

I created a cozy fall mantel by pairing it with an old window frame, my DIY eucalyptus wreath, and a small demijohn filled with a combination of dried and faux fall foliage.

We won’t see many fall-colored leaves at all down here in Texas, but the few we do get won’t arrive until around November, so until then, faux will have to suffice…

I couldn’t resist adding my DIY knit blanket  and my new fall hat for a little touch of cozy, too. Who said you can’t at least pretend the weather is changing? 😉

  1. Thank you so much, that is one of my favorite quotes. Fall is my absolute favorite season, and I’m beyond excited that the weather here by the ocean in Southern California is in the low 70’s, with crisp mornings and evenings! I’m going to Europe in October on an antique buying trip for my shop, and it’s the first time I’ve been there in the fall in many, many years. (since we tend to shop there in spring and summer.) Can’t wait to walk the streets of Paris in the fall!

  2. This was my first visit to your “home”……. it is so lovely. THANK YOU for the free Fall printable. I just made a picture for myself and one for a friend who LOVES fall. Can’t wait till she receives it in the mail. Bless you! I’ll be back!

  3. I tried many times to download your printable I finally got it to work by re-registering my email again, even though I’ve done that before and have daily emails that provide me the password. Is this why I will have to do each time to access the free printables. I’m not highly proficient, but never have had to do this on other sites so want to know if I am missing something. Thanks.

    1. I am so sorry you were having trouble, Phyllis! Once you have subscribed, you should always be able to access it from the bottom of any of my newsletters. Just click the link to the printable library and enter the password (copy and paste it from the email if you’re having trouble), and all the printables should be available on that page. I hope this helps and I’m sorry it was giving you trouble!
