Hi there, Maison de Pax readers! It’s Samantha from Five Heart Home, and I am so excited to have been invited over today to celebrate Rachel’s new addition with some Quick & Easy Dinners for New Moms!

15 Quick and Easy Dinners for New Moms ~ effortless meals for busy families!Rachel is one of the sweetest, most talented bloggers I know with a sophisticated style all her own, and I’m so happy to be here today! We actually have a lot in common, as two Texas gals who both happened to attend the same fine university (as English majors, no less!)…and now we’re both proud mamas to two spunky boys followed by a baby girl! Seriously, I am absolutely thrilled for Rachel and her family to be adding a little bit of pink to their blue. Every baby is a blessing, but this little princess is going to have nothing to worry about with two big brothers watching over her!

I blog quick and easy, family-friendly, real food recipes over at Five Heart Home, so I decided that some effortless main dishes would be the perfect thing for a household that’s recently welcomed a new baby. Now I realize that moms are not the ones typically doing the meal preparation during the newborn weeks. Hopefully the new parents are first showered with homecooked meals, lovingly prepared by family and friends. And then when those dinners taper off, Dad and/or Grandma will likely be the ones manning the stove for awhile. (Or maybe Dad is the one who always does the cooking, and if so, go, Dad!) But regardless of who typically plays the role of head chef, odds are that once baby arrives, time in the kitchen is going to be curtailed, whether a family is growing by their first child or kiddo #3. That’s where these fast, simple recipes come into play!

Many of them are slow cooker wonders and some of them make use of leftovers, but all of them are quick and easy! These are recipes that I rely on over and over again, because with three young children, my time in the kitchen is almost always limited, whether I have a newborn to tend to or not.

I live several hours away from Rachel, so as much as I would love to deliver her a from-scratch meal, it’s just not possible. I can only hope that a few of these recipes make dinnertime a tad bit easier over the next few months and indefinitely into the future, as three energetic kiddos keep Rachel on her toes. 😉 And it is my sincere hope that these recipes make your life easier, too! I know we’re all busy, whether it’s due to kids or jobs or other obligations. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy delicious, homemade dinners with minimal effort!
