Pots and Boxes: Operation Organization
I promised a few weeks ago when I began Operation Organization to share more pretty organization ideas…
So far, my reach has been limited to my attic desk workspace. A few other spots in the house nothing else has really been touched. Alas, there are simply not enough hours in a day! But my crafty things are now organized…
Mostly within reach but out of sight. My favorite brilliant idea was the pot (which we found one clearance at Lowe’s for just a few dollars) to hold rolls of vinyl and paper.
The antique boxes (see here for a tutorial on how to paint one like the red one) hide the ugly things like craft paint and glue guns.
My basket, of course, holds my fabric, but it seemed silly to hide away all the wonderful twines, ribbons, and corks… why not use them as decor?
Even the little clips were more fun on display than in some drawer.
But the rest needn’t be out and in the way. The basket and boxes offer beautiful, functional storage. They stand alone and contain the mess…
Perfectly. 🙂
What do you think? Could you enjoy working in this space?
What a beautiful space! Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you so much, Elizabeth! I’m so glad you like it. 🙂
I need to do this with all my stuff. You have given me some ideas, thank you so much. Have a good day.
I’m so glad it was helpful!!
Hi Rachel, LOVE all thing to organize! Thanks for the pretty ideas!
Yes! I would love to have that space. Very fun, practical & pretty. Where did you find the wire thing that’s holding the twine?
Thanks, Lisa! The wire cubbies was from Decor Steals. They are not currently available, but their steals often repeat – maybe it will come up again soon. Hope this helps!
Great Ideas! I love your space, I could work there in a heartbeat! also, I frequent a website for crafty good deals at save-on-crafts.com there is so much on that website, it’s almost overwhelming! there are tons of wire baskets, baskets, planters, baskets anything you can dream of. check it out. prices are very reasonable as well.
Thanks, Julie! I love looking at Save On Crafts, but I’ve never ordered anything… Now I may have to! 🙂
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE (!) that table with those gorgeous legs. Did you buy that or put it together yourself? Can you tell me where to find either the table or the materials you used, please. My keyboard is covered with drool 🙂
Haha… you are so kind, Vicki! Unfortunately, I made the table with my dad before I went to college. We bought the decorative iron pieces and welded the base ourselves. BUT, I also made the top and have a tutorial on how you can create your own here! I’m sorry I can’t tell you where to get the base, but I hope the tutorial for the top helps. 🙂
