I have glorious news.
Are you ready?
It actually feels like fall.
If, of course, fall means 73° and sunny… But in this part of Texas, we take what we can get. 😉
If you’re visiting from Live Laugh Rowe, welcome! I’m honored to be a part of this fabulous parade of homes.
Sadly, I had to pretend – and I mean a serious case of fake-it-till-you-make-it – that it was fall for part 1 of my home tour. But as I sit at my desk writing today, enjoying our first day below 88°, I remember why I love fall.
We may not have a “real” fall here – very few crisp breezes and orange leaves…
But we enjoy the cooler temperatures and picture perfect days. I had dreams of making this my “exterior” fall home tour, starting with our front porch and its house number pumpkins:
And ending with our new back porch (complete with our new industrial spool table)…
But the back porch is, alas, still incomplete. So instead, I have touches of fall from throughout our home. Like the pumpkins in the playroom.
And the beautiful fall table that makes me smile every time I pass through our dining room.
And our bench near the entry complete with the new antler pillow and my sheet music fall art (yes, I’ve already moved it from the mantel in my office… please tell me I’m not the only one who can’t leave well enough alone!).
And, of course, there’s the rest of the living room…
(Can you tell I have a thing for wingback chairs?) And the entry…
All of which you can see in more detail in part 1 of our fall home tour.
So for those of you who, like me, are just now getting to enjoy the first hints of fall…
May you find plenty of plastic pumpkins that don’t rot in the heat. 😉 And do be sure to drop by tomorrow morning to see Taryn at the next stop on the tour.
And you can catch up if you are just joining in. Here is a list of the fabulous ladies participating this year!
