Looking for Christmas gift ideas? Check out these for creative gift basket ideas plus tips for creating and wrapping them beautifully!
I considered titling this post “outside the basket,” but I managed to restrain my nerdy self. 😉 Seriously, though, I loved semi-themed gift ideas. And creative gift baskets is such a fun way to gather them… so I’ve partnered with Tuesday Morning this year to bring you some wonderful, affordable gift ideas for the special people on your list.

For the Little Ones
It doesn’t get much more special than the little ones in your life, and I was super impressed by the options of gifts for kids that Tuesday Morning carries. My two year old really wanted the Barney doll that was more than 1.5 times her size, but she settled for pushing it around the store while I shopped. 😂I opted instead for some real wood games (which my boys begged me to let them play when they caught me photographing this!)…
and this adorable little stick horse. In a time of flashy toys and electronic screens, I love the idea of good ol’ fashioned fun for my kids.
Tip: Though I would probably actually wrap the game boxes, adding an unwrapped stuffed animal (or in this case a stick horse) to the outside of your kids Christmas gifts makes the presentation so exciting!
Be still my heart!
For the Entertainer
Or how about a themed gift basket for the entertainer or gourmet among us? With two beautiful cutting boards (such a great gift because they also make perfect cheese servers or fruit trays), an adorable bottle opener, and these brass cups (similar but such a fun twist to the copper mugs I have and love so much!), it’s easy to put something together that is both beautiful and functional.
Tuesday Morning carries an amazing collection of serving dishes, glassware, and fun entertaining tools. The wide selection of wooden trays and cutting board and other entertaining items would also make the perfect hostess gifts for any upcoming holiday parties you may have.
Tip: If you don’t want to include a basket, cutting boards can make a great base for a little gift set all by themselves. Just stack a pretty dish towel on top or add a bottle opener and tie up with a ribbon!
For the Traveler
Jetsetters live both an exciting and exhausting life (I know because I’m married to one 😉 ). Truly, it can be tough to live out of a suitcase and survive overnight travel… So why not make it easy on them?
I saw many high-end name brands of luggage at my local Tuesday Morning, but I landed on this beautiful Italian blue/gray carry on (who couldn’t use a great carry on suitcase!?!) and a neck pillow for the airplane. They were simply meant to be together, don’t you think?
Tip: For larger items like this, don’t bother to try to wrap. Just add a big ol’ bow! And if you’re feeling extra fun, hide another present inside. 🙂
For the Homebody
Whether your favorite homebody is the type who enjoys decorating or simply prefers to snuggle comfortably on her own personal sofa, a gift basket with home items is something she’ll love.
At my local Tuesday Morning, I spotted throw blankets, slippers, candles, pillows, and so many beautiful decorative elements and other great ideas at amazing prices. These beautiful bud vases were just about $5 each…
Tip: Throw blankets, pillows, and tea towels can make the perfect cushion in a basket of home gifts.
Gift Basket Wrapping Ideas
Tuesday Morning doesn’t just have gifts for everyone, they also carry all you need to wrap them beautifully. I love to mix brown paper and colored paper, and I found all this adorable wrapping paper there (I mean, that plaid and the cars print?!)…
As well as the ribbon and baskets. While I love pretty wrapping paper (get some of my favorite, easy gift wrap ideas here), I also love going non-traditional and just using ribbon for the gift basket ideas.
No need to wrap your gift when it’s this pretty! Just tie it up with pretty ribbon and a gift tag. Especially if it’s something like a teacher gift or hostess gift… Holiday gifts for your kids might be safer if wrapped, though. 😉
I hope you found these themed gift ideas and gift wrap ideas helpful! Be sure to visit your Tuesday Morning (find the store nearest you here!) for your holiday shopping. It’s a no frills experience, keeping prices low and allowing you to stretch that gift budget to gather wonderful, thoughtful gifts for everyone on your list!
The best gift, of course, is one given with lots of love… May your holiday season be filled with it. 🙂
