Susan’s Chocolate Sauce

In case you haven’t noticed, I love to entertain.  And I love to make people feel loved and valued when they come to my home.  One way I do this is by feeding them…  To rephrase the old adage, the way to everyone’s heart is through the stomach.  Right? 😉

If you’re like me, family and friends are in abundance over the next couple of months.  There are Christmas parties, holiday celebrations, family dinners, and impromptu drop ins for coffee and a chat.  Don’t you want to have something special on hand to offer?

This is perfect for that.  Make some, store it in a mason jar in your fridge (will keep for quite some time… can also freeze).  It will instantly make ice cream, strawberries, or even store-bought angel food or pound cake deliciously homemade.  Heat a little and drizzle pour some of this decadent chocolate sauce on top and call it special.

This recipe actually came from Susan (hence the name!) – the woman who lived next store to my mother when she was a child.  Since then, my grandmother, my mother, and now I have made, served, and enjoyed this delicious topping on numerous occasions.  I hope you and yours can enjoy it, too!
