Looking for an easy spring decor idea? In about five minutes, you can turn a simple basket and inexpensive faux flowers into gorgeous spring wall art!
If your life is anything like mine, the start of spring is filled with end-of-winter colds, baseball practices, school projects, home renovations, and teasingly warm and sunny days.
Ain’t nobody got time for hours of redecorating, amiright?
But those teasingly warm and sunny days (which I fully appreciated last week as my kids spent an entire afternoon swimming in the slightly warmed hot tub 😉 ) have me wishing for some cheery, spring touches in our home. I started with this DIY botanical wall hanging a couple of weeks ago, but today’s project is even easier: a large, flat basket, some faux florals, and about three minutes of your time and you’ve got some gorgeous new spring-friendly wall art!

It really couldn’t be easier. Pull the flowers off the stems and carefully stick them between the weave of the basket in whatever pattern you like. If you have trouble sticking them in far enough to secure them, small straight pins angled into the basket would be an excellent, damage-free option.
I chose a light, organic shape that grew across the basket.
And I love how it looks above our new mantel on the family room side. I secured it using 3M strips, and it’s holding up perfectly.

So next time you’ve got five minutes at home between doctor’s visits and baseball, put together a little something to cheer up your space. 😉
