Top it off with inexpensive pastel pumpkins from the grocery store, and I felt like I’d hit the non-traditional fall decor jackpot.

I’m kind of into non-traditional (at least when it comes to fall decor)…

I used succulents on my fall mantel this year.

And blush flowers with copper and peaches on my fall table.

Green and white throughout my downstairs.

And blue and gray in the master bedroom.

So pastels with a pop of deep purple seemed perfect for the porch.

It’s so different than it looked in the spring. But the fun part is that I didn’t buy anything but the mums and pumpkins. The other accessories came from elsewhere in my home. Just by switching out the blues and corals that I used for spring to warm whites and other neutrals, the porch has taken on an entirely different look.

Rearrange some side tables and potted plants, use a few old terra cotta pots for mums, and bring out some lanterns and the cozy space is ready for fall.

Now if only the temperature would drop another 15 degrees so we can really curl up in those blankets and enjoy that hot mug of coffee. 😉
