Simple Thanksgiving Tablescape
Last year was only my second time ever to host Thanksgiving, and I had no idea it would be my only time to do so in our 1940 colonial that we renovated. I never shared these pictures last year because I didn’t take them until the morning of Thanksgiving, and by the time it was over, everyone was ready to talk about Christmas…
But I thought you might like to see them now. It’s not an elaborate tablescape: some simple fall foliage cut from trees by our driveway…
The china and napkins Mr. Pax and I received as wedding presents at the main table, along with place cards from William Sonoma (similar ones here) that I was given as a gift.
And my grandmother’s china, my no sew drop cloth napkins, and some leftover leaves from our advent calendar on the second table.
But it was perfect: elegant, easy, and comfortable for myself and my family and friends who enjoyed the meal that day.
I hope your Thanksgiving is filled with good food, sweet conversation, and a truly blessed feeling of gratitude.
