Honest Confessions and Weekend Inspiration
Happy Saturday, friends! Remember last week when I shared my 10 tips for creating a fresh, cozy look for the New Year?
And all my grand intentions about taking my own advice and sprucing up my post-Christmas space?
Gulp.
I haven’t.
Not even one little spot.
Granted, I already have throw blankets galore (they never went away when I cleaned up Christmas), and the kitchen certainly got spruced up for its grand reveal this week… But the rest of my home looks exactly as it did when I wrote last week’s post.
And I think that’s ok.
We so often put unreal expectations on ourselves about how our home should look… When what really matters is what goes on inside the four walls. Don’t get me wrong, I believe in beautiful, functional homes and the impact that can have on our mood and hospitality and more, but I also think we all need some very large doses of grace in our lives. Often.
So here’s to you this week, whether your home is perfectly styled for the winter months, still sporting Santas and sleighs, or sitting rather naked like mine… May your days – and your home – be filled with laughter and joy.
And now for your regularly scheduled Saturday inspiration. 😉
