I cannot believe Thanksgiving has passed already, friends! Wasn’t it summer just yesterday?
And yet here we are: holiday parties are filling our calendars, children are wearing themselves out making their wish lists, Christmas trees are being decorated, and everyone is feeling the excitement… I’m celebrating today by teaming up with Wayfair to share with you some farmhouse inspiration for your holiday entertaining.
If there is ever a season when a little extra space is helpful, I think it’s the holidays. There are treats and cookies, cake and pies, all kinds of fun drinks… not to mention presents, extra people, and – if you’re serving dinner – plenty of food! A bar cart is a fun way to add a little extra serving space (and, of course, it helps when it’s super cute). I chose a wood and metal bar cart with a rustic, industrial flair, and gave it some feminine touches with copper and gold accents. Layering with different heights, textures, and metallics created a beautiful space with plenty of treats. Visit here for a full product list.
Central to my farmhouse bar cart is my featured cocktail: a grown up hot chocolate.
Rich, dark chocolate with hints of amaretto and the nice, smooth sweetness of brandy support fluffy whipped cream. It warms you right down to your toes and has the sweet, down-home comfort of those hot cocoa nights you enjoyed as a child. I couldn’t think of anything more suitable to a farmhouse style evening: home, comfort, warmth, and goodness.
I’m pleased to say that the big Christmas party we are hosting this year isn’t for another few weeks… Which naturally means that we’ll have to enjoy this round of drinks because I’m sure we’ll need fresh ones for the party. 😉 I hope you enjoyed seeing this glimpse of my farmhouse bar cart! I hope your holidays are simply beautiful!
