Kitchen Inspiration
Sorry for the radio silence over here, friends, but as you know, we’re moving. It’s got me partially devastated to leave our current home and equally thrilled about the possibilities of a new space… not to mention busy house hunting, traveling, and taking care of my three little ones. Anyway, one home we considered needs a new kitchen.
I. know.
Endless possibilities…
So, to indulge my creative imagination (and to stop the mind whirling that kept me up at night), I put together this little mood board full of whites, woods, metals, and textures. Just the kind of classic and crisp – with a little industrial and rustic thrown in – that I would imagine in that hill country home.
rustic wood shelves // galvanized storage barrel
butcher block island // white and nickel pendant light
double oven range // kitchen with white subway tile wall
What do you think? Which is your favorite part? Our new kitchen in our current home has a white subway tile backsplash with gray grout, but I’m really aching to take it all the way to the ceiling in our next kitchen.
What project do you want to tackle next?
By the way, I’m participating in Porch.com’s Makers Mood Board Contest, and I nominate the following friends to scratch their design itch by making their own mood boards:
Migonis Home
My Soulful Home
Love Grows Wild
Making Home Base

Oh I love this! I hope you buy this house just so you can create this look…or create it in whatever house you buy:) I adore open shelving if you have enough storage place in other areas. Love love love tile all the way up the wall, too. I hope you do this – – it’s gorgeous!
You are so kind, Teresa, thank you! I think the tile and open shelving is calling my name, too! We’ll see what happens… 😉
This looks great! Love the idea of taking the white subway tile all the way to the ceiling. Good luck house hunting!
Thank you thank you, Meg!! xx
