___________
I’m a chapstick and mascara kind of gal.
If I can throw frozen chicken breasts directly on the grill without thawing them (and I can), then that’s my preference.
And if I can create a special, pretty moment for my friends or family in 5 minutes, why spend 15?

I admit, I obviously enjoy home decor, and I don’t always choose to do the fastest option or even fastest version of any given crazy idea project that I choose to take on. Obviously, this blog is proof. But I do think there is something to be said for simple, efficient, and beautiful.
And as I was admiring my pink tulips growing by my sink (which, for the record, I found potted – yes, they are potted in there! – for $5 at Randalls), I thought was a lovely centerpiece they would make for a Valentines table. Seriously, how beautiful are these?!
So I clipped some hydrangeas that I picked up from the grocery store and set to work.
I’m not normally a big pink person, but the pink tulips playing off the copper accents was something I couldn’t resist.

And while I normally choose to layer my grandmother’s china with something to cover the pink flowers in the center (I LOVE the rims, but like I said, I don’t normally do pink), I left them in all their glory.
Mixed metallics, fresh flowers, oh so simple.

And it honestly took me less than 5 minutes.
Oh, and my daughter’s reaction when she saw it that evening?
Obviously she thought it was pretty special!
So next time you want to share some extra love with your spouse, friends, or kids, remember how easy it can be to throw together something just a little special. A few extra minutes can go a long way…
I hope your Valentines is full of love!

Thank you so much, Alexis!
Thank you for sharing something easy and beautiful. I LOVE flowers and tulips are one of my many favorites. The plates and copper are so complimentary to each other. I hope your Valentine’s Day is as special for you as you are to us. ENJOY.
I’m so so glad you like this, Juanita! And thank you so much for your sweet comment. I hope your Valentine’s Day is wonderful!
Quietly lovely. I always think simplicity and elegance walk well together.
I love that, Judy! I might have to quote you. 😉 So glad you enjoyed the space!
This space is magical! The decor flows so seamlessly; the romantic pink tulips & rustic touches. So cool!
May I ask, where is this chandelier from?! The link directs to Wayfair but it doesn’t recognize the link to take it to the chandelier. My clients would Love It!
Thank you, Ash
