Fall Home Tour
I am SO excited about today. Not just because I have a beautiful fall home tour for you, but because I have the honor of hosting 14 other bloggers who are sharing their lovely homes with you, as well.
Be sure to visit all their tours at the end of this post!
I’m also excited because it’s the first time for me to show many of the rooms in our new house on the blog.
It has come a long way since the “before,” hasn’t it?
But back to fall: the theme of today’s tour is simplicity.
As a busy mom of three in a new house (and new city), I honestly needed to keep it simple…
And I want to keep it simple.
Life gets so busy, and with my new home my head is whirling with ideas (many of them expensive and elaborate), and I confess that I need to rein it all in sometimes.
To remind myself that I don’t need elaborate displays and expensive seasonal decor.
I don’t even know where a lot of my decorative items are… I purposefully left boxes of decor packed up (until we can build some bookcases!). So I picked up $10 worth of pumpkins from my local grocery…
Clipped branches from my trees…
And pulled out a few scarves (which I definitely won’t be wearing for a while… it reached 97 degrees this past weekend!).
Other than my DIY fall sign, that’s about it.
The reality is that we really use our home. Just this weekend, my boys were playing leap frog from the couches to the ottoman in this room…
Racing cars in the family room…
And creating bugs from construction paper at the dining room table.
We eat all our meals at this kitchen table…
And my one year old will destroy anything within her reach.
So simple is a necessity around here.
And a lifeline for me.
So I’m trying to keep things simple. I’m loving soothing neutrals.
Lots of texture.
And nature.
Simplicity.
How about you? Do you have a theme for your life this season?
Don’t forget to visit the other gorgeous homes in the Fall Into Home tour! Seriously, these women are wonderful, and I’m sure you’ll be inspired.

You have done a lot and it looks great. Thanks for the tour Rachel and to your one year old for helping. lol!
Absolutely beautiful….I love your home so much texture and subtle color
Rachel, this is stunning! I know how it feels to want to make big and expensive changes, all the while knowing it isn’t wise to do it all so quickly. I’ve been planning such changes for my home for over a year now, and am just starting to dive into making a few of them come to fruition. Your home is gorgeous as is though, so enjoy it!! 🙂
Thank you so much! I am trying to take it slow and steady… Good for you for doing just that! xx
Gorgeous as always, Rachel! I love the simple, natural approach. I so wish I had some trees to clip some fall branches. Beautifully done! And the photography!
I just finished my tour and popped over to read yours… your story is echoing exactly what I was thinking as I was writing. Your home looks just beautiful, Rachel. I think simple is best. 🙂
Beautiful simplicity!!!!! Love it all!! Would you be willing to share where you got your green wreath on the window? Thanks!!
Thank you, Emily! Happy to share. 🙂 I made it last year, and you can find the full tutorial here. Hope this helps!
Very beautiful! I love the simplicity and neutral colors throughout your home.
Gah, gah, gorgeous Rachel! I am loving neutrals and texture this fall season as well. Your new home is lovely. That wood stairway..wow. Beautiful photography as usual. So inspired to create a home that is simple and uncluttered. Happy Fall.
Oh this is so stunning. I absolutely love the subtle hints of fall you added to your home. They blend so well with everything and look amazing. I love love your fireplace room!
It all looks lovely, Rachel! Happy Fall to you!
Rachel, wow! You have such a beautiful home! It’s amazing how even though it is simple, everything you did makes a big impact and really gives a “fall” feeling. It may be 97 degrees outside, but your house looks like you need to bake something with pumpkin and cinnamon and curl up in front of your (amazing!) fireplace with a book! Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely gorgeous! The wood tones and textures are my favorite. Did you paint the white chippy dining table?
Thank you so much, Alison! I did paint that table; you can find the full tutorial here. Hope this helps!
Simply Gorgeous!
Rachel, Your home is absolutely beautiful!
Hi Rachel, just loved your fall home tour! Would you be willing to share where you got the 3 round basket trays you have hanging on the wall? Thanks so much!
Thank you, Judy! Absolutely. I ordered them from Decor Steals. I don’t think they have them now, but their offers come up again fairly regularly. You can also check Antique Farmhouse as the two are associated and they often have the same products. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the info. I’ve seen them on DS and was wondering if they were the same. Thanks again!
Simply. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing and for the inspiration!
Rachel, your home is absolutely stunning and already so “you”! It took me years to accomplish that, you are an absolute pro. Thank you so much for all of your hard work this week and for including me in this tour! xx
