Green and White Easter decorating Ideas for the Dining Room- Maison de Pax

My mother has hosted Easter dinner for as long as I can remember:

A quick exit after church.

An Easter egg hunt for the kids outside while everything is cooking.

The smell of lamb wafting from the kitchen.

And me setting the table.

I’m not complaining!

I always enjoyed pulling out the lace tablecloths, china, and crystal that has been passed down in our very traditional Southern family. And my mother has always encouraged me to pursue the things I love…

So setting the table has always been my job.

I admit that since I usually do it at her house while things are cooking, I don’t normally have time for such themed decorations as these little eggs and moss.

But since I recently purchased the eggs to dye with my kids, I couldn’t resist using them as I created this table for you today.

PSA: preserved moss is a little messy. Live and learn. 😉

But it makes for such pretty little Easter place settings, doesn’t it?

You could also add a name to the bowl or write directly on the egg itself as a place card.

The centerpiece is a combo of clippings from my yard and some faux magnolia flowers I found at Walmart. I love the drama.

Easter dinner has always been one of my favorites: roast lamb, mashed potatoes, homemade bread… And the egg that my mom always hides in something (usually the bread or mashed potatoes). 😉

Unfortunately, because of other obligations (not to mention the fact that I will be 35 weeks pregnant), we won’t be going home for Easter this year…

And while I’m sad not to spend it with my extended family, I’m pleased to say that we will actually get to enjoy this little Easter set up here.

As long as I can keep the kids away from the moss until then. 😉
