DIY Metallic Easter Eggs
Looking for a fun, easy Easter craft? I’m so excited to join my friend Annie from Zevy Joy today to share these DIY metallic easter eggs alongside tons of other fun Easter craft ideas!
___________
I warned you a couple of weeks ago that nothing was safe from my new favorite product…
And the proof is in the pudding, my friends.
These little eggs were so so easy to make, and my kids enjoyed helping me design the patterns.
What you need to make DIY metallic Easter eggs:

- white craft eggs (I actually found mine at Walmart – they are for dyeing – for $2/dozen)
- Rub ‘n Buff in autumn gold (or other desired colors)
- Rub ‘n Buff in gold leaf (or other desired colors)
- quality painter’s tape
How to make metallic Easter eggs:
- Rip or cut your painter’s tape into various shapes and lines
- Apply painter’s tape to eggs
- Apply Rub ‘n Buff to remaining portion of eggs
- Rub until no more comes off when you touch it
- Carefully remove the painter’s tape
It was so easy! And just a few make such a statement. If you saw my Easter tablescape (and you’ll definitely want to check out the amazing and affordable centerpiece!) last week, you know I created these sweet little bowls with dried sheet moss… I think the metallic eggs make for a stunning complement to the natural green moss.
You could use them to fill an apothecary jar, a teacup, or a vase. And a mini vignette works, too!
Now be sure to visit the other fun Easter crafts being shared today by these creative, talented women.

I’ve been looking for some easy Easter project and you came through for me Rachel. Thank you. Would like to find the sweet little white bowls you used along with moss to show off the colored eggs.
Happy Easter
Jo
I’m so glad you like it, JoAnne! The bowls are from hayneedle. Unfortunately, I’m not seeing the same ones any more, but the brand is 10 Strawberry Street. I hope this helps! Happy Easter to you, too. 🙂
