Casually elegant. And feminine but practical. And classic but edgy… If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you know that juxtaposition (which is just a $50 former-English-teacher word for contrasts) is one of my favorite things. So I couldn’t resist bringing some of that balance and tension to my gift ideas for her this year: some soft blushes and bold blacks, some relaxed yet feminine clothing, some splurge gift ideas and some totally affordable gift options. There’s something on this list for all the ladies in your life.

And don’t forget to check out this year’s other gift guides: FOR KIDS and FOR EVERYONE ELSE

Clothes gifts for her

You know I love my neutrals, like this gray top and this one-shouldered sweatshirt, but with the birth of our daughter this summer and her room, it is the year of blush. Blush shoes, blush tops… And I’m all about the slightly elegant yet incredibly comfortable and casual look these days… and I think it’s totally in right now. It’s the absolute “nbd, I just woke up this way” (and yet I still look really cute 😉 ) effect. These relaxed, slightly feminine basics in blushes and subtle mauves, like this incredibly soft sweatshirt, are not only perfect for that, but their relaxed fit makes them easy to buy as gifts.

Accessories gifts for her

You all know I’ve been into copper in my home for some time now, and I love how rose gold and copper-toned jewelry has a similar feel. Feminine, chic, and little bold. I first came across Mon Amie watches on Instagram earlier this year, and the reality of it in person is even more beautiful. The rose-gold around the face and the gorgeous black leather band make this watch trendy and classic at the same time. Even better, Mon Amie gives a portion of each watch purchase to support a specific cause (depending on which watch you choose), so you’re giving double with a gift like this. Oh, and how cute is the black leather band with a floppy black hat like this?

For a touch of the classic minimalist in me, this gold necklace from Pieces of Me is perfect. I chose the “creative” necklace because creativity is such a driving force in my own life, but they have so many individualized pieces. You can even take a quiz to see which design would best fit your (or your giftee’s) personality, and the cuff bracelets and necklaces they make really are simplicity at its best. And for the holidays they include this super cute gift wrap free of charge. Win! Bonus: for 10% off sitewide, use the code HOLIDAY at check out!

And because we all have a little taste of the adventurer in us, these travel-worn boots are a fabulous splurge option. I know it could be tough to buy shoes for someone else, but I’ve always had excellent service with Soft Surroundings if you (or your giftee) needed to return a size. And the leather bracelet is not only a gorgeous, elegant complement to the boots, it’s got hints of that copper again that I’m loving so much.

Unique gifts for her

Obviously, clothes are simply not the perfect gift for everyone… So what else is useful and fun? First up: copper canisters. Again with the copper, I know 😉 – this canister set is so very versatile and absolutely beautiful. With a rubber seal, they can be used to store coffee or flour in the kitchen, but they have so many other options: holding utensils, pens, paint brushes, snacks, cookies – you name it. They would add elegance to storage in any room. (PS you can download that printable for FREE here!)

And speaking of kitchen items that have other uses, I love this marble spoon rest from Kirklands. Totally affordable (and big!), this natural stone piece could be used as a spoon rest or as an accessory holder.

Or how about these elegant glass vases? Beautiful yet casual, they would look wonderful completely empty or sporting some seasonal sprigs. And if your wife/sister/mother/friend likes music, I think she would love the look of this speaker. And for something small, affordable, and fun, how about this stemless wine shaped tumbler? And – surprise, surprise – it’s rose gold. 😉
