Autumn Wind and Gold Free Fall Printable
Free fall printable: “Autumn came with wind and gold.” ~Thoreau
I’m a sucker for literary references.
If you’re visiting today from my friend Tasha at Designer Trapped, welcome! I’m Rachel, and I confess that I might have even named my kids for one Dickensian character, one poet, and two Shakespearean heroines. But who’s counting? 😉
So when sweet Laura from The Turquoise Home asked if I’d be interested in creating another fall printable to share with you all (you can see the other one I shared this year here), I couldn’t resist this lovely quote from the American transcendentalist Henry David Thoreau:
Autumn came with wind and gold.
I wish I knew this in a more first-hand way… Down here in central Texas we tend to have four seasons: summer, summer, summer, and winter (better know as 60-70 degree summers). 😉 But I love the imagery…
And I wanted to share its beauty with you. So I created a hanging (get printing details and a tutorial here), paired it with my diy succulent pumpkin planters and a couple of my favorite accessories:

Thanks so much Lindsay- and thanks for sharing on Google Plus!
This might be my favorite color combo! So pretty. And I love typography printables. Cheers! Kristy
Thanks Kristy!
Florida has the seasons like you. It’s especially hard to get in a Fall mood. We do a lot of pretending.😀I’ve enjoyed seeing all the green with white pumpkins, like yours. That makes more sense for Florida too.
Ha, Nancy! So true! We can appreciate it more in the winter without the extreme cold temps.
Thanks for this printable, its pretty and words tell all about fall.
Thank you Marlene!
Hi Rachel, Thank you SO much for your printable. I love the colors, they are the colors already in my dining room. This will look lovely! By the way, I LOVE Thoreau. 😉
Judy—it sounds like it’s a perfect fit for you all around! So glad you liked it.
I love your take on fall colors, Rachel!! This is gorgeous!
Thank you so much, Jenna! xo
This is gorgeous! I generally only use things that are monochrome (just to keep the clutter looking less cluttered!) but this is too good to resist. Thanks. (Also great is that you’re calling the season ‘autumn’ and not ‘fall’ as it’s more commonly deemed around the globe.)
Thanks Louise! Sometimes I go a bit crazy and do some color! 😉
