I love fall… crisp autumn leaves, cool breezes, cozy sweaters. In Texas, the season lasts approximately two and a half days. No joke.
I think maybe that’s why I enjoy decorating for fall… It sparks my imagination. 😉
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll also know that I’m an efficiency freak, so I’m excited to be sharing this as part of the 10 minute decorating series with other talented bloggers. These are so easy and quick, I hesitate to even call this a “tutorial”… Consider it rather a little demonstration.
How to make fall leaf wrapped candles:

Here’s what you’ll need:
- white pillar candles
- fall leaves (real or faux)
- baker’s twine
I would prefer to use real leaves, but we are still months away from any red or yellow leaves here in this part of Texas, so I used some faux fall leaves from the craft store. I simply wrapped 1-2 leaves around each candle and secured them with baker’s twine wrapped 4-5 times around and tied in a knot. It couldn’t be any simpler.
You know I love neutrals and texture (and I’m not much of a red/orange kind of gal), so I love the subtle nod these give to the season.
The pillars are great on their own, on small candlesticks…
Or even in lanterns.
Where will you put yours?

Thank you, Susan!
SUCH a beautiful and creative idea!!!
Thanks, Kristi! xx
Lovely and oh so simple way to decorate with candles. Am a candle person also, have to have seasonal candles out in house all year, love fragrances when burning. I love Hobby Lobby Candles, scents are very nice, not too strong, especially Fall and winter candles and are usually on sale.
Love to put leaves and pine cones in bowl with leaf wrapped candles, don’t need much else with that.
Enjoy rest of weekk
I’m so glad you like it, JaneEllen. Thank you for your sweet comment!
The candles are so pretty, you would never know the leaves were not real.
Thank you so much, Kristin!
So pretty and I love those wooden lanterns!
