Y’all. I hardly know what to do with myself. This former city girl is beside herself with opportunity with this new backyard.
Most evenings, though, have been composed of paper plates, screaming kids, and plenty of sippy cups. 😉 But this pool…
The sunsets reflecting off the hills…
Talk about a dream setting for an outdoor dinner party.
And down here in Texas, fall is when we all go outdoors. When it’s finally cool enough to enjoy the evenings.
Now don’t get me wrong. There is a time and place for paper plates and sippy cups, but every so often – especially as the start of school fills our days with carpool lines and homework – I think it’s important to enjoy a little elegance.
A dash of casual sophistication.
And a grown up atmosphere.
For this party, Mr. Pax and I created a fun little cocktail using Andre Brut Champagne. I promise the recipe soon, but for now, just enjoy how beautiful it all is.
And how – even without the dramatic views – a little dash of something special can turn an ordinary kitchen table into a stunningly elegant array.
Could you, like me, use a little dose of elegance in your late summer and early fall evenings?
