Affordable Elegant Farmhouse Lighting

Looking for chandeliers and pendants? Check out this Affordable Elegant Farmhouse Lighting for every room in your home!

Our last house – a 1940 colonial in the city – was so classic that pretty traditional chandeliers felt right. And while our new home is fairly traditional in construction, I feel like our acre+ in the hill country allows for a more rustic flair. And while necessity and common sense (aka Mr. Pax) will probably insist that we keep several of the current ceiling fans, I am definitely planning to replace some with some elegant farmhouse lighting.

But let me tell you, chandeliers can be so expensive! And while I know “affordable” is relative, I’ve rounded up some gorgeous, elegant farmhouse-style chandeliers and pendants – all for under $300. Do you think I could pull off one of these in our new home? Which one is your favorite? (Links are numbered below the image.)

  2. I was initially drawn to #3. We are currently re decorating our entry way, and I am looking for new fixtures. We are having trouble because we the ceiling is too low to do pendants, but I am not a big fan of the flush mounted lighting I am finding. Thanks for posting some links to affordable lighting. It is hard to find inexpensive lighting! You have given me a few new places to check out. 🙂

  3. Hi Rachel
I popped over from Rhoda’s. I noticed the no. 1 fixture is the one I chose for our new home, last Spring. It is absolutely perfect over our dining table. I paired it with a triple fixture above the island that is sort of industrial. In the same area there is an open style lantern over the coffee table. One reason I chose no. 1 is the barrel style and the fact it has mixed colors in the metals. We downsized to an open concept home and I wanted a blend of fixtures and metals. Our style is a mix of traditional, transitional, rustic elegance.

    1. I’m so glad to have you here, Pat! It sounds like you and I have very similar ideas. 🙂 Our new home is much more open than our colonial was, and I’m thinking a similar balance. Thank you so much for the comment!

  4. I love all the lighting choices you have. I bought a house a couple of years ago and I need to change out several light fixtures. I have a single income so I have to do projects in phases. I would love to know the website to get a few of them for my home in Georgia. I have always loved to decorate. Thanks for your post.

    1. I’m so sorry, Britany! It is from Painted Fox. They recently changed their website to paintedfoxhome.com, and I have to go in and change all the links manually, unfortunately. Thank you for calling this one to my attention!

    1. Hi Elyse, I’m sorry, but 3 and 6 seem to be working for me. Maybe try them again? 3 is from Overstock, and 6 is from World Market. I hope this helps!

  5. Love your style. I am drawn to your style and have made plans for bathroom and kitchen with some of the same. I am looking for light fixture for over kitchen table farm style. Looking for light that shines down. So we can see the food we eat. Not easy to find. On the hunt.

  6. The link for number 8 takes you to a different fixture called One Allium Way Paladino 6-Light Chandelier that is $409.99 on Wayfair’s website. Though it is beautiful as well, I love the number 8 you have shown.

    1. Unfortunately, this post is several years old, and some of the fixtures have either been discontinued or changed in price. I’ve done my best to keep it updated with similar ones, but some of the links may be a bit different than the original ones I found. It’s too bad the price on the one linked has gone up, though (and too bad the original is no longer available)! I’ve had some success with searching “French country chandelier” on Wayfair for a few more options at various price points. Hope this helps!
