It is far too easy to become too busy to enjoy life… May we all find the simplicity we need to savor every moment.

  1. Rachel, I’ve been meaning to tell you that your little site could not be more perfectly named. Reading your posts is always so soothing, and your home seems to exude such peace and calm. I don’t know how you do it with young kids…I feel constantly harried and like I’m running around like a chicken with my head cut off! But in those moments, I always enjoy visiting your blog…it’s like virtual yoga. 😉

    1. Oh Samantha, you need to come visit sometime… You’ll see just how crazy we can be!! I think peace is more a state of mind and heart than an actual absence of chaos. But thank you for your kind words!! I’m so glad you find a little peace here. 🙂

  2. Rachel, you are SO right!! I love the first of the year, when things can start afresh, and we can slow down a bit!! I completely agree that life is too precious to get so hurried that we can’t notice all the beautiful and wonderful things around us, everyday!! I have to say that your wingback chairs are just beautiful, love them!! Thanks for sharing!—♥Angie

    1. Thanks, Donna! I found the 4 owls on clearance at Pottery Barn after Christmas… Since my husband and I both went to Rice University (whose mascot is the owl), I couldn’t pass them up!

  3. Love how clean and chic your vignettes are. Gorgeous. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
