Susan’s Chocolate Sauce

In case you haven’t noticed, I love to entertain. And I love to make people feel loved and valued when they come to my home. One way I do this is by feeding them… To rephrase the old adage, the way to everyone’s heart is through the stomach.  Right? 😉

This is perfect for that. Make some, store it in a mason jar in your fridge (will keep for quite some time… can also freeze). It will instantly make ice cream, strawberries, or even store-bought angel food or pound cake deliciously homemade. Heat a little and drizzle pour some of this decadent chocolate sauce on top and call it special.

homemade hot fudge ice cream topping

This recipe actually came from Susan (hence the name!) – the woman who lived next store to my mother when she was a child. Since then, my grandmother, my mother, and now I have made, served, and enjoyed this delicious topping on numerous occasions. I hope you and yours can enjoy it, too!
