Robbing Peter to Pay Paul

Poor guest room… practically naked:

I did finally dress the windows in these fabulous ruffled curtains, but the walls have stayed empty for a full year. Yikes. At first, when I found this fabulous gray (Agreeable Gray by SW, for the record), I thought I would put my old-school tin tiles in there, but they found a home on the red dresser in my master instead:

Then I found this gorgeous bird cage (on sale!), and I thought it would be perfect in there… but while photographing my “antique” frame, it claimed its place on the entry table where it still sits:

Finally, I waded through several years of my European photographs to find a collection of towers, thinking I would do a little gallery wall:

But once framed, they were too perfect with the European ambiance of the master bedroom not to earn some real estate there (though, as you can see, they have yet to be hung!):

Alas! Will this room ever be clothed? Actually, the day is coming (soon!)… stay tuned. (Update: guest room is finally finished!)

  1. Love all the pieces that you have claimed for other areas of the house. The guest bedroom is certainly a lovely blank canvas for whatever you decide to do. The vintage Paris map in the living room is absolutely gorgeous! We visited Paris a couple of years ago and fell in love. I could walk that city forever. I’m stopping by from Brenda’s Cozy Little House. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
