Traditional Green and Red Front Porch for Christmas
Looking for holiday front porch decorating ideas? Bring some classic charm with frosted garland and wreaths and some bright Christmas red ribbon.
__________
Thanksgiving is just days away, and since most of my readers tell me they begin decorating for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving, I wanted to offer you some decorating ideas before the fact. And it doesn’t hurt that Christmas decorating is probably my favorite thing to do all year. 😉
I’m excited today, too, to join my sweet friend Ashley from Cherished Bliss who has rounded up a great group of bloggers for a room-by-room Christmas tour. If you’re visiting from Live Laugh Rowe, welcome!! Be sure to visit the next stop on the tour at the end of the post for more entryway eye candy.
This year, I was inspired by the sweet little red berries growing in my yard right now.
I wanted simple little touches of red along with lots of greenery.
I found these frosted garland for an amazing price, and it was a perfect bonus that they have those same little red berries.
The ribbon was $4 for 50 ft at Walmart. The only trick was taming the wind while I was trying to photograph it. 😉
I also painted these planters white (something that’s been on my to-do list for a while now)… And I’ll have a tutorial for you later on how I made both of the wreaths, but in the meantime, I’ll just let you enjoy all the pretty today. More sources are at the end!

And be sure to visit my sweet friend Nina from Nina Hendrick Design for the next stop on the tour!

Thank you so much, Jenn!!
Absolutely gorgeous Rachel! and I kinda love the wind blowing through your ribbon, it makes it seem so wintery like I want to snuggle up with a cozy blanket!! : )
Hehe… It was almost 90 degrees, but it was windy! 😉 Finally cooled off here now. You know Texas!
Everything is beautiful, Rachel! I love the traditional green and red — and greenery with red berries is my fave! xo
Thank you so much, Kelly! xx
Hello- I love your house tour! Question, I just painted our house a similar color gray and am having trouble deciding on window treatments. I like how yours looks. Are your window panels white or off white?
Thanks!
Thank you so much! They are BARELY off white. You can get the full details here. I hope this helps!
Love it❤️Such a welcoming front door.
Love it❤️ Your front porch is so lovely and definitely welcoming!
Thank you so much, Della!
