Natural, Neutral Gift Wrap Ideas

Only 9 days until Christmas…  I can’t believe how quickly this year has flown by!  Have you finished your shopping yet?  If not, be sure to check my “favorite things” holiday gift guide for ideas for everyone on your list.  If you have finished shopping, though, then it’s time to wrap!  And I’ve got six gorgeous gift wrap ideas that are natural, simple, and so easy to make.

I am really into natural elements with a touch of sparkle (you can see that in my home tour here if you like), so a little fake greenery from the craft store, some pinecones, and a little gold rub ‘n buff makes for some gorgeous packages.

So so simple.

It looks lovely against the texture of burlap ribbon, too.

My favorite might be this JOY sign, though.

A little hot glue goes a long way. 😉

And inspired by my literary tree that I put up in the library this year, I couldn’t resist a little book page bunting.

So simple and versatile: make basic bunting with baker’s twine, create a tree from the flags, or write messages on your bunting…

I love the simplicity of the natural elements and neutral textures against the craft paper.  Affordable and lovely.

  1. These are really cute ideas Rachel.

  2. I love your holiday and tree decorating ideas! So simple, yet fabulous! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home and your holiday ideas with us:) Merry Christmas to you Rachel

  3. I always love your endless creative ideas! Wow, the JOY sign is gorgeous…what sort of greenery is that? And how are you with Kraft paper? I tried it years ago and it was very thick and hard to work with. Any better now? It’s the perfect backdrop for your natural decorations! :)

You are so sweet, Jane, thank you! Honestly, I have no idea what kind of greenery it is… I am woefully ignorant of real plants, and even less knowledgeable of fake ones. 😉 I just found something pliable at Hobby Lobby because I thought it might work. And the craft paper I found (also at Hobby Lobby) is easy; a little thicker than most wrapping paper, but folds perfectly for wrapping. Hope this helps!
